SCHOOL MESSAGE

Blue Coat is open to all years on Thursday the 14th of Jan 2010.

We are delighted to welcome you to the school and hope that you will take every opportunity to ask questions about our ideals and ways of working.

The Christian ethos of the school is essential to how we show ourselves to the World. Our faith informs all that we undertake as a school. Our academic and behaviour expectations are built upon the same foundations that demand care for oneself and for others.

Linked with other faiths and beliefs held by our students, we use the richness of this diversity to allow children to learn about each other in a safe, secure Christian environment.

The Blue Coat Schools have a long history of providing an excellent Christian education for students. 300 years ago this education was provided for orphans and deprived children who wanted what education brings. 300 years on, our students’ lives are completely different but their desire to be given a good education with a Christian ethos, lives on.

Teaching and learning at Blue Coat continues to be inspired by our motto, ‘Respice Prospice’ meaning ‘Look back, Look forward’. We look back on and learn from our journey and continue it forward into the 21 st Century, bringing your child the benefits of a long and distinguished heritage accompanied by a clear vision for the future.
